Race Night
February 2010
Our new fundraising season started with an exciting Race Night. A big thank you to all the people who supported and attended the event.

Goosfest, October, 2009

Over 150 people attended the event and enjoyed Alan Garner's engaging talk. Many thanks to Goosfest and to all the people who helped making this event so successful, first of all to Alan Garner for the precious gift of his talk as well as the donation of a signed out-of print American edition of 'The Weirdstone of Brisingamen' for our raffle. Many members and non-members also sponsored generously our raffle included the Goostrey based artist Gerd Gerhart who donated an original watercolour. As a result of this event many new members joined our group. A very warm welcome to all.

Bright red balloons floating above the stall marked the distinctive logo of the FTBT banner which attracted many visitors throughout the day.
Many thanks to Griselda Garner of The Blackden Trust and to all the members who helped in the creation of the stall: the excellent information and photographic displays, the activities for children, the plants for sale and for spending the day promoting the work of TBT and FTBT.

Tea and cakes at Toad Hall for the community of Blackden, 30 May 2009.

Over twenty people attended the party and enjoyed the beautiful sunshine and the delicious cakes served by many hard working volunteers. Griselda Garner gave an interesting account of how the site evolved over the years to become The Blackden Trust and tirelessly guided many visitors on a tour of the Old Medicine House.

The workshop was a great success and all participants enjoyed it. Thanks to Katja for organising all the work and inspiring us with great ideas, to Bernadette for taking over at such a short notice and running successfully the workshop and Charles and Griselda for preparing the rooms making the Medicine House so welcoming and comfortable.
