Scents, Strewing and Tussie-Mussies
Saturday 27th June 1.00 pm – 4.00 pm at the Old Medicine House, Blackden
Join us for a fascinating half-day workshop exploring the use of scented herbs in the Middle Ages and learn about strewing herbs and how their properties were used in homes to counteract pests and diseases.
Make a tussie-mussie posy just as the Elizabethans would have done then take it home to enjoy.
Be guided on a walk around the lovely herb garden of the Old Medicine House.
The event will be led by Retired Pharmacist and former Chair of the Herb Society UK, Barbara Depledge.
An afternoon tea will be provided.
Please bring your own gardening gloves and secateurs.
Fee £29.00
Tickets available through Eventbrite.
