Every visit is unique. Tours are conducted by knowledgeable volunteers, who tailor the visit to the interests of the group. There are no rope barriers or ‘keep off the grass’ signs here. The stories of this ancient place are still being discovered, still being written, and we invite you to be part of that experience.
In groups of no more than 15 you will become immersed in the history of this fascinating place. Through buildings, objects and records, you will meet the people who have lived and worked at Blackden down the centuries. Many visitors return again and again, learning new things, soaking in the special Blackden atmosphere or to further their knowledge in one particular area at a longer special interest day.
Tours for individuals can be booked via Eventbrite (please see current links below) but Group Tours for 10 or more people may be available on alternative dates. Please email if you are interested.
Please note that tours are not suitable for children under 16 (see Learn with Us for ways in which they can visit).
